Springfield Police are calling it a targeted attack.
On Francis Street, police were called for a report of shots fired.
And, when they arrived at 37 Francis Street they found the body of a man shot several times.
Police have not released the identity of motive of the slaying which is the second murder of the year in the city.
Still under investigation.
There have been no arrests.
