Five Springfield Police Officers Plead Not Guilty In Alleged Attack

Five Springfield Police officers have been suspended without pay after being charged for an alleged off duty beating that took place outside of Nathan's Bill bar in 2015.

The charges were brought after an investigation by the State Attorney General's office.

Daniel Billingsley, Anthony Cicero, Christian Cicero, Igor Basovskiy, and Jameson Williams have already been arraigned on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

All pleaded not guilty and were released on personal recognizance.

According to the original incident, a fight started outside, spilled outside involving a dozen people and some were thought at the time to be off duty officers.

Now you may recall that back in 2017 the Hampden County District Attorney said he couldn’t press charges because the victims could not identify any of their alleged attackers.

Both the Mayor and the Police Commissioner say that if the allegations are proven it is behavior that cannot be tolerated.
