Ludlow Diner Owner Pleads Not Guilty To Drug Charges

The owner of a Ludlow diner is free on bail after he was arraigned on Tuesday on cocaine-trafficking charges.

Francisco Evangelista, the owner of Frank's Diner, and two other defendants entered a not-guilty plea to the charges in Palmer District Court on Tuesday.

Court documents indicate police arrested Evangelista on Friday after cocaine, prescription drugs, cash, ammunition, and state welfare EBT cards were among the items seized at the diner and at Evangelista's home.

Evangelista and the other defendants are expected back in court next month.
