A federal grand jury in Washington is reportedly looking into a matter involving MGM Springfield.
The Washington Post, citing anonymous sources, reports that prosecutors are investigating former Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke after he made a decision not to grant a petition by two Indian tribes to operate a casino in East Windsor, Connecticut.
MGM Resorts International lobbied against the East Windsor complex due to its competing interest.
Investigators are looking into whether Zinke, who resigned in December, lied when an inquiry was launched into the motivations of denying the petition.
