The Hampden County District Attorney is confirming a 25 year old city man died in what is Springfield's fourth murder of the year.
It happened on Oakland Street Sunday morning where investigators were called to the two hundred block of the street.
When investigators responded they found a 25 year old man lying in the street. He had suffered at least one gunshot wound.
He was taken to Baystate Medical Center where he later died.
Police have not said anything about the events leading up to the shooting.
There have been no arrests.
