MGM Might Sue Over Connecticut Casino Decision

MGM Resorts is reacting to the announcement of a tribal casino across the border in East Windsor, Connecticut.

The U.S. Department of the Interior is approving the casino, to be run by the Mohegan and Mashantucket Pequot tribes.

In addition to serving as competition with MGM Springfield, MGM is concerned about the East Windsor casino's impact on its plans to open a gambling establishment in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

A statement from MGM Resorts indicates the company might go to court if lawmakers in that state block those plans.

The Tribal Coalition says that construction at the East Windsor site could come about at any time.
