East Longmeadow Makes Another Try At New School

East Longmeadow officials are trying to convince state officials that they are in desperate need of a new high school.

The present facility, built in the 1960's has issues with leaking rooks, overcrowded classrooms as well as heating issues as well.

The school system faces an April 12th deadline to submit a "statement of interest" that will start the process moving forward.

Then State School Building officials will look at the proposal and decide whether this year will be the year.

The last time the committee met to approve new schools in the state, they only approved 12 new schools.
