This year's recipient of the John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage award will be U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
The honor will be given to Pelosi in a ceremony next month at the JFK Presidential Library and Museum in Dorchester.
Pelosi was selected for the award to recognize her efforts to pass the Affordable Care Act.
Also cited are her efforts to return the House to control of Democrats in last year's election.
She will be honored May 19th.
