Police Called To Keep Order On Strike Line

Police were called out to one of the Stop and Shops in Western Massachusetts this weekend where a strike is taking place.

The Greenfield Recorder reports officers responded on Saturday morning after a manager and workers were in a disagreement about blocking the store's entrance.

The situation was reportedly resolved quickly and peacefully. As the strike continues in Southern New England for a fifth day Monday,

The grocery store and the union representing its employees restarted contract negotiations on Saturday, met again yesterday in Providence, and are set to talk once more today.
