Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno has some strong words for people illegally riding dirt bikes on city streets.
Sarno said he has no patience and-or use for the individuals who he called "miscreants" and said they create dangerous public safety issues for drivers and pedestrians.
He says Acting Police Commissioner Cheryl Clapprood will be meeting with local, state and federal public safety officials to "amp up an aggressive plan of attack".
The action comes hours after Chicopee officials announced that a driver was assaulted by a group of dirt bike riders in that community.
