Springfield Officials shedding little new light on an alleged “interaction” between a Springfield Cop and a school student at the Kiley Middle School.
Springfield Mayor Dom Sarno says that it happened April 22nd and when authorities were finally notified took immediate actions to investigate it.
The officer has been removed from the school system and confined to desk duty while police and the District Attorney’s office investigate.
Springfield City Attorney Ed Pikula short on details but described the incident as physical in nature that arose to the level of investigation.
No further details were revealed.
As an aside, the Springfield Mayor has asked the School Superintendent and the Police Commissioner to review security within the school system.
The Mayor says that doesn't mean they will get rid of the so called Quebec system but will see what the best practices are around the nation.
