Wynn Resorts Keeps Boston But Will Pay Big Fine

Wynn Resorts is retaining its license to operate the casino resort under construction in Everett.

The state Gaming Commission yesterday also levied a 35-million-dollar fine against the casino company over the actions of former executives.

The fine is because the commission says Wynn executives covered up sexual misconduct allegations against company founder Steve Wynn.

The two-point-six-billion-dollar Encore Boston Harbor casino resort is set to open next month.

A statement from the casino group says they are looking at the options.

The Casino Commission, which was reportedly split over the issue will meet with reporters later today.
