SAT Scores Optional At Local College

Springfield College is joining hundreds of other colleges and universities by no-longer requiring standardized test scores in the admissions process.

The college recently announced that starting in the 2019-2020 admissions year, SAT and ACT scores will be optional for first-year students, with some exceptions.

The school says the goal is to provide greater access to students from various educational and socioeconomic backgrounds and provide more opportunity for low and moderate-income students.
