Springfield Councilor Wants Robo Calls For Reminder

A Springfield City Council member is proposing to send postcards and make robocalls to voters in advance of elections to boost low turnouts.

Jesse Lederman's ordinance would require notifications about the date of the election, the polling locations and which offices will be on the ballot.

Lederman notes that the turnouts for the local elections in Springfield the last several years have hovered at around-ten percent.
