A citizen petition affecting natural gas facilities in Longmeadow passed at a town meeting on Tuesday night.
The petition supported adopting bylaws to ensure adequate protection of citizens and the environment from risks and hazards associated with the facilities.
Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company wants to put a metering station in the town.
The measure which was one of the last items at the town meeting at the high school passed unanimously.
