The Springfield City Council has scheduled a public hearing for next Monday involving the proposed site of a new car dealership.
The Planning Department recommended that city leaders approve special permits for Balise Auto Group to build a new Mazda dealership on East Columbus Avenue near York Street.
If approved, construction on the new dealership would begin this summer, with the business opening sometime next year.
