Springfield-based MassMutual broke ground yesterday on the company's new commercial building in Boston's Seaport district.
MassMutual officials were joined by Governor Charlie Baker, Boston Mayor Marty Walsh and the project's developers.
The Seaport building is part of the company's plan to expand in Massachusetts;
MassMutual says it is renewing its commitment to Springfield by adding 15-hundred jobs to its headquarters by the end of 2021.
