A new chief development officer in Springfield is being selected.
Timothy Sheehan is coming up from Connecticut, where he has served as the executive director of the Norwalk Redevelopment Agency.
The city of Springfield says Sheehan oversaw more than five-million square feet of development during his tenure in Norwalk.
Sheehan is a native of Springfield and worked in the Economic Development Department of then Mary Mayor Hurley.
He replaces Kevin Kennedy, who announced his retirement earlier this week.
