Red Sox Star Walks After Second Surgery

The man believed to be the shooter in the attack on David Ortiz in the Dominican Republic is in police custody.

The unidentified suspect was taken into custody last night and will likely be charged with attempted murder.

The person who drove the shooter to the scene was arrested shortly after the shooting.

The former Red Sox great was shot once in the back, and is being treated at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Meantime, Ortiz is resting after undergoing a second surgery to repair damage from a gunshot wound.

He underwent the second surgical procedure shortly after arrival in Boston.

Ortiz took his first steps yesterday, and is expected to remain at Mass General Hospital for the next several days.
