Springfield Enters Recreational Pot Market With First Four

The city of Springfield is announcing four companies that have been chosen for negotiations to open adult-use cannabis shops.

One of them is INSA, which already operates a retail store in Easthampton and a medical marijuana dispensary in Springfield.

The other three are Holistic Industries, which wants to operate on Boston Road, 6 Bricks LLC on Albany Street (owner Peyton Shubrick, pictured)

and 311 Page Boulevard, which would go up at the address referenced in its company name.

The city will negotiate host community agreements, and the businesses will then need state approval.
