More Hours To Serve More Kids During Summer

The Department of Conservation and Recreation is coming up with added dollars to keep youth programs open longer hours throughout the state and in particularly inner cities.

The Summer Nights Program extends the hours for recreational programs including basketball and other sports in Worcester and Springfield among other cities.

Lt Governor Karyn Polito says if you continue to give kids something to do, you are more likely to keep them off the streets and away from crime and drugs.
