A summer camp in Granby is being canceled over safety concerns.Â
The Cub Scouts were scheduled to begin a one-week camp yesterday at the Chicopee Sportsmen's Club, but the Western Massachusetts Council of the Boy Scouts of America says a health inspection by the town determined it was unsafe.
The chair of the Granby board of health says it was concerned about the camp going on so close to an active shooting range and said the camp would only be allowed if the sportsmen's club's range was inactive.
