Legislative leaders are announcing a compromise state budget agreement.
The 43-billion-dollar package represents an increase of 317-million-dollars in spending over last year.
The budget adds 270-million-dollars in new public school spending, and has language seeking to reduce Medicaid prescription drug costs.
The House and Senate are expected to approve the budget today, which covers the fiscal year that started July first.
