Holyoke Mayor Alex Morse says that he will run for the Congressional seat that is being held by long term Congressman Richard Neal.
Morse made the announcement in a campaign video that was released Monday morning. He will meet with reporters tonight.
Morse says that “There's an urgency to this moment in Massachusetts’ First District and our country, and that urgency is not matched by our current representative in Congress.” “The fact is, the Congressman has been largely silent on the issues that matter most.
Neal has not commented.
