Cape Cod Twister--Thousands Without Power---No Injuries Reported

Officials on Cape Cod are assessing the damage after a tornado touched down in South Yarmouth and Harwich.

The National Weather Service says wind gusts reached over 100 miles per hour.

The roof was ripped off a motel in Yarmouth, and thousands of people were left without electricity.

Harwich declared a state of emergency, and requested that power be cut to the entire community because of the large number of downed wires.

Officials at the National Weather Service say that they will try to determine today if there were more than one tornado that touched down in the area.
