Governor All In On New Connecticut Casino Deal

The Hartford Courant is reporting that the Connecticut Governor is proposing a deal that would pull the plug on the East Windsor Casino deal but pave the way for both Bridgeport and Hartford.

The newspaper reports that the Governor wants to sell the Hartford Civic Center to the Tribal Coalition and give them the opportunity for sports betting.

The proposal would also allow the Coalition to open up a third casino in Bridgeport and to oversee sports betting in the entire state.

MGM had been quite interested in building a casino in Bridgeport.

They have not commented yet.

Officials in East Windsor have not commented yet either.

They have been saying they would sue to prevent a casino in East Windsor.
