A cousin of Hampden District Attorney Anthony Gulluni is facing attempted murder and arson charges.
Joseph Gulluni Jr. of Palmer was arrested on Friday in connection to a fire at an apartment building in Palmer in June.
It was previously reported that two tenants were able to escape.
Authorities allege that Gulluni was trying to cash in on an insurance policy.
He will be in court for a hearing Wednesday.
The Hampden D.A.'s office says a special prosecutor from Worcester County will handle the case.
