MGM Springfield President Mike Mathis spoke with reporters on Monday as the casino nears its one-year anniversary.
Even though MGM Springfield has fallen short of projected revenue, Mathis called the first year of operations a success.
It was several years ago that the casino giant had predicted about 38 million dollars worth of revenue every month. But Mathis says that in reality, it is taking in 30 million dollars a month.
The casino opened on August 24th, 2018.
MGM is planning an anniversary bash this upcoming Saturday.
