A Worcester Police K-Nine unit is recovering after being stabbed while trying to help apprehend a suspect.
Police say the three-year-old police dog Beebs was stabbed repeatedly in the head with a screwdriver by a suspect Saturday morning.
Beebs was called in when the unidentified male suspect reportedly threatened to attack a bus driver, then hid in the brush off Foster Street.
Beebs was treated at an animal hospital and released.
