Hospital Error Reason For Incorrect Data

The state is reducing the number of confirmed deaths from eastern equine encephalitis in Massachusetts from four to three.

The Department of Public Health says the fourth death announced this week was improperly reported by a hospital.

That means the current number of deaths in the state from the mosquito borne virus stands at three.

There have been 12 human cases of Triple E so far this year in Massachusetts.
