Two people are in custody after an officer-involved shooting in Springfield.
Shortly after 8 p.m. last night, the Springfield Police Department says officers conducted a traffic stop of a known suspect on the General Edwards Bridge.
The SPD says two officers, fearing for their safety, fired their weapons after that suspect drove his car towards police.
Following a crash on Alden Street in front of Springfield College, the driver was reportedly taken to Baystate Hospital with a non-life-threatening injury, while a female passenger was also arrested.
