Memorial services are being scheduled for E. Henry Twiggs, the late Springfield City Council member and civil rights activist.
Twiggs died last week at the age of 80.
Visitation will be December 2nd at St. John's Congregational Church, while a funeral is set for December 3rd at the same church.
Council President Justin Hurst has already said it is unlikely the Ward 4 seat of Twiggs will be filled since there was only one more regular meeting left in his term; Twiggs did not seek re-election this year.
