Judge Considers Prisoner Drug Therapy Program

A federal judge will hear from the ACLU today on whether she should force the state to continue to administer to certain prisoners certain drugs as part of their "opioid use disorder".

We don't know how many prisoners are under such a program in Western Mass or anywhere else.

The state is disbanding the program under its "compulsory withdrawal policy."

The judge could, but is unlikely to rule on the request today.
