Police Investigate Shootings That Leave Two Dead

Authorities are investigating incidents that made it a violent weekend in Holyoke. 

Two men have died and two other individuals were injured in several different shootings in the city between Thursday and Saturday. 

A Springfield man was killed in the most recent fatal shooting near the intersection of Sargeant and Maple streets. Also on Saturday, a 17-year-old was taken to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield after reportedly being shot on Gerard Way. 

Police are looking into whether any of the shootings were related.

Meantime, officials say they have made no arrests in any of the shootings.

At Holyoke High School officials will make counselors available to students and staff who need them.

The basketball game between Holyoke and Commerce has been postponed.
