Governor: Sorry For "Rant" Comment

Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley says hate and white supremacy are ruining the country.

Pressley's comments came at a Boston event celebrating the life of Martin Luther King Jr. yesterday.

She was using the point to reject claims that identity politics are what is ruining the country.

Her comments came during a panel discussion that featured Governor Charlie Baker and Boston Mayor Marty Walsh.

Meantime, the Governor is apologizing for the way he characterized the Congresswoman's remarks.

Governor Baker called the impassioned comments "a rant" which drew the ire of some people in the room and politicians throughout the state.

The Governor's spokesman says the Baker used the wrong word and has called the congresswoman and apologized.
