Institutions of higher learning in the Pioneer Valley are suspending study-abroad programs in China for this spring in response to the coronavirus outbreak.
Among them is UMass-Amherst, which was set to begin its program next month.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are advising against any non-essential travel to China because of the deadly virus outbreak.
