Report: Courthouse Is No Sick Building

A new report focuses on the condition of the Roderick Ireland Courthouse in Springfield..

Some believe there are environmental hazards at the courthouse that contributed to the deaths of two judges who both were stricken with Lou Gehrig's disease, both working out of the same office.

But according to the draft report that's been released by the state, the courthouse is not causing chronic health issues.

The report, which also looked at the juvenile court on State Street, did say problems were found in the buildings such as excessive dirt and dust on surfaces, mold growth on air supply diffusers, and more.
