The Massachusetts State Police says a drunk driver slammed into two police cruisers in Chicopee just after midnight Saturday.
The state police says the troopers were conducting an investigation of a drug suspect on I-91 north when an impaired driver, identified as Ryan Churilo of East Windsor, Connecticut, lost control of his SUV, hit another vehicle that didn't stop, rolled over and initially hit one cruiser, then crashed into the rear of the second.
Two men that were in the car initially stopped by police were in the cruiser that was the second one to be hit.
The only injuries reported were for a police dog that was in the cruiser that was first hit, but the injuries were not serious, according to state police. Churilo was arrested for OUI-alcohol and reckless driving.
