The University of Massachusetts in Amherst is suspending its study-abroad program in Italy, a hot spot for the corona virus in Europe.
UMass officials are urging students to return home as quickly as possible, as the federal government is now advising against traveling to Italy.
UMass had previously canceled or suspended study-abroad programs in China and South Korea.
