Covid Cases Increase --But Most New State Cases Linked To Boston Conference

Massachusetts health insurers will be covering all the costs of dealing with coronavirus. State insurance officials say there will be no co-pay or deductible for testing, treatment, vaccination and counseling for coronavirus. Insurers are also being directed to provide information lines for people to call if they have any questions about the virus. Anyone who is experiencing coronavirus symptoms is urged to stay home and alert their doctor immediately.

There are no confirmed cases of Covid 19 in Springfield.

There is one person being treated in Berkshire Medical Center.

Public health officials are confirming 15 new presumptive cases of coronavirus in Massachusetts. The new cases announced yesterday brings the total number of coronavirus cases in the state to 28. All of the 15 new cases are linked to a meeting of the company Biogen at the Boston Marriott Long Wharf hotel last month. There were around 175 people at the meeting of top Biogen company managers.
