State House Closed To Tours And Some Events

The state House is canceling all public events in the near future over concerns about coronavirus.

House Speaker Robert DeLeo says the House itself will remain open for now, and a working group is being formed to evaluate operations.

DeLeo says the top priority is the safety of employees and House members.

Numerous events were canceled this week at the State House because of fears over the virus.

Meantime, the Massachusetts Health Commissioner is promising to update the latest figures at some point today.
