The city of Springfield is asking barbershops, salons, tattoo shops, piercing centers, spas and massage parlors all to close.
Mayor Domenic Sarno said Thursday that certain venues are being asked to take the precautionary measures for public health protection in connection to the coronavirus pandemic.
Mandatory shutdown orders have been in place for restaurant dining areas, schools and day care centers in Massachusetts.
