Coronavirus Claims 13 Lives In Connecticut and Massachusetts Combined

Massachusetts health officials are out with some of the demographics surrounding the existing Covid 19 cases.

134 of the 646 cases are in the 40 to 49 age range.

119 in the 50 to 59 range.

112 in the 30 to 39 year range.

60 to 69 account for 87 of the cases.

83 cases in the 70 plus range.

Just 19 cases are reported in the 18 and over range.

Five deaths have been confirmed from coronavirus in Massachusetts.

State public health officials yesterday announced three new deaths from the virus. There are a total of 5.

The newly confirmed deaths are a man in his 90s from Suffolk County and two elderly men from western Massachusetts.

State officials say as of yesterday, 646 people had tested positive for the virus.

In Connecticut, where there are 8 deaths, Governor Ned Lamont says that he will be shutting down non-essential businesses, such as barber shops and the like.

He is also asking resident to stay home. The Governor is asking---not ordering.

Meantime, In Holyoke, Agawam and Chicopee, the Mayors of those three cities have also ordered personal service facilities to close.
