Springfield Gets Added Help From State Police

Springfield Police Commissioner Cheryl Clapprood says that the State Police will help augment the patrols of the department.

Nine State Troopers will be assigned to the city, three per shift to lend support.

The troopers will be working in the city until National Guard members are assigned to the city.

In addition, the city is expected to get more help from the National Guard for logistics and infrastructure during the Covid Crisis.
