Rhode Island Governor Not Backing Down

(24/7-- News) -- Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo issued a "stay-at-home order" on Saturday and by executive order banned gatherings of more than five people to fight the coronavirus.

Also on Saturday, it was announced that anyone visiting Rhode Island from any state, not just New York, must quarantine for two weeks.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo threatened to sue Rhode Island over its policy of having state police stopping vehicles with New York license plates and sending National Guard troops to houses in coastal communities looking for people from that state. The order also applies to the airport.

All non-essential retail stores are being ordered to close in Rhode Island today; a list of businesses can be found on the state's website.
