Governor Says Tough Times Are Ahead

Massachusetts is confirming 33 new deaths from coronavirus among state residents. 

Governor Charlie Baker announced yesterday that 89 people have now died from the virus in Massachusetts since the outbreak began. 

The 33 deaths reported yesterday was the most for a day in the state since coronavirus arrived. 

More than 66-hundred people in the state have tested positive for the virus out of more than 46-thousand tests conducted.

In Springfield, 103 cases of the virus have been reported. The numbers nearly doubled in a 24 hour period.

In West Springfield there is are 29 cases.

The newest case of the virus has been reported this morning in Ware.
