Two States Report Staggering Numbers---And Heartache

The numbers continue to grow in the Massachusetts Covid 19 Crisis. 122 dead statewide with a thousand more cases announced. 51 thousand tests. 7738 positive cases. Of the latest deaths… 5 have ties to Hampden County. State officials do not release biographical information so it is unclear if any of the five are tied to the Holyoke Soldiers’ Home. 475 cases of the virus announced in Hampden County. 183 in Berkshire County. 81 in Hampshire County. 72 in Franklin County.

In Connecticut there are more than 35 hundred cases. 85 people are dead including a 6 month old baby who was born in Hartford, brought to the hospital unresponsive and did not survive.

It is with heartbreaking sadness today that we can confirm the first pediatric fatality in Connecticut linked to #COVID19. A 6-week-old newborn from the Hartford area was brought unresponsive to a hospital late last week and could not be revived," according to Governor Lamont.
