Around 55 thousand people have tested positive for the virus in the state since the pandemic began.

The most cases have been in Middlesex County, where well over 12 thousand residents have tested positive.

There were just under 16 hundred new cases reported yesterday, which is a large drop from the previous several days.

In Connecticut, 1, 924 people have died because of the virus.
