The number of unemployed people in Massachusetts amid the coronavirus pandemic continues to climb. Well over 70-thousand initial claims were filed for jobless benefits for the week ending April, 25th. Since March 15th, 722-thousand claims have been filed. In total, combining regular Unemployment Insurance and Pandemic Unemployment Assistance, between March 15th and April 25th, the number of claims filed is over 893-thousand.
