Connecticut schools will be closed for the rest of the school year.
Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont put out a statement this morning, but is expected to further detail his decision during a late afternoon news conference.
He says schools will continue to provide distance learning and meals to children under the school lunch and breakfast programs for consumption at home. He says he anticipates having guidance on summer programming toward the end of this month.
New York and New Jersey have already announced schools will remained closed for the remainder of this school year and continue remote learning.
